Hooked on The Red Hook Country Inn: Apple Blossom Day 2016
On Saturday, May 7, the Red Hook Country Inn will welcome everyone near and far to join in Apple Blossom Day, a time for all to celebrate the first week of apple trees blossoming in the area. The beauty of the flowering season in the area ushers in the last weeks of spring and those last days of the school year.
The Red Hook Country Inn has availability for Apple Blossom weekend, and we invite you to stay in the heart of the village with us in one of our newly refreshed rooms. A weekend in the country is even more special on occasions like Apple Blossom Day. In addition to our role as Apple Blossom Ambassadors in hospitality, our own Chef Nabil Ayoub prepares his famous falafel sandwiches to sell in front of the inn. One bite and you’ll taste why Chef’s falafel is known as “The best out of Jerusalem!”
As for the day’s festivities, there are activities, vendors, performances, and tasty treats for many varied interests. Families can enjoy carnival-style games at the Key Bank lawn and at Church Street Nursery School. Little Pickles always has something special, like face painting, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is always perfecting their free bubble station. This year the Red Hook Film Festival has two epic evenings of screenings coinciding on Apple Blossom weekend. Of course, none of this would be possible without the hard work of the Red Hook Rotary Club.
