Nabil and Patricia are the ultimate hosts whether in their Roasted Garlic Dining Room or their home, the Red Hook Country Inn. Their motto is “strangers are only friends we have not yet met.” Once you dine with them or enjoy their genuinely warm hospitality at the inn, you will sense that you are a friend, not just a guest. Enjoy the comfort and luxury of being a part of their lives, for a day, a week, or a lifetime.
Chef Nabil, a Coptic Egyptian by birth, graduated from the City and Guild of London Culinary Institute and studied in Greece, Ireland, France, England, and Jerusalem. He has been a U.S. citizen for 20 years and has worked in the employ of many notable individuals including Aristotle Onassis, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, and Princess Margaret of Great Britain.
At his previous restaurant in New Jersey, Nabil worked under Rabbinical supervision for eight years. Nabil is a certified Kosher Chef and able to provide Kosher-style cuisine from his kitchen or may produce fine creations in your Kosher kitchen!
“Our stay was part family trip and part romantic couple time, and the Red Hook Inn was perfect for both.
Pat and Nabil are as warm, welcoming and down to earth as one could hope for innkeepers to be. They convey such enthusiasm for making their guests feel comfortable and cared for, whatever that might mean to different guests, and they are attentive to the particular interests and preferences of each. For instance, observing that my husband likes to read the morning paper, they brought the Sunday Times to him at breakfast. They convey genuine warmth, which makes one feel quite at home. Besides their warmth and generosity, they have generously equipped sitting area with movies, guidebooks to the area, and water, coffee, tea and snacks, and an outdoors hot tub which guests are warmly encouraged to use.” — City Hiker, Brooklyn, NY
“We met some wonderful people who shared this beautiful home with us that weekend. Now we have invitations to travel all over the country and continue our conversations. There is an old Girl Scout saying, "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold". In this case, going back to my reunion after fifty years and seeing the old friends was great, and now I look forward to going back again, when Pat and Nabil will have gone from silver to gold. Thank you for a most memorable weekend, Pat and Nabil. It is one we will not soon forget. We recommend this B and B to all who happen to be visiting the Hudson Valley.” — Annette Spiegel, Pompano Beach, Florida
